Hey im Emily, welcome to my channel, this Vlog is designed to raise awareness of Postural Orthastatic Tacycardia Syndrome whilst also shedding some light on what its like to live with & be tested for pots and some of its counter conditions.
If you, a member of your family or a friend are battling for a diagnosis, just as many of the pots community have already I'm hoping that by taking that time to provide the necessary knowledge & personal experience that it could help to increase someone elses chances of being diagnosed so please don't hesitate to message my page if you have any questions or if you are unsure of what direction to go in next and need advice.
My story so far
On the 31st of october 2017 i had my appendix removed, little did i know that when i woke up, things just wouldnt be quite be the same, every time i stood up, ate or got too hot my heart would beat uncontrollably and i did not know why, I then subsequently spent the next 7 month's under the mental health team until finally in May 2018 i was finally diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
I'm now under investigation for EDS & CCI which are some of the counter conditions to pots but i have been officially diagnosed with gut dysmobility which is also connected to POTS.
